New Non-Exec Board Members: Prof. Maurice Mulvenna and Martin Bell

Pneuma Healthcare is proud to announce the appointment of two new Non-Executive Board Members: Professor Maurice Mulvenna and Martin Bell. These accomplished individuals bring a wealth of expertise and experience to our organisation, and we are honoured to have them join us in our mission to improve mental health through innovative solutions.

Professor Mulvenna is a highly accomplished Professor of Computer Science at Ulster University. With a research focus on the intersection of computing and mental health, artificial intelligence, digital wellbeing, innovation, and assistive technologies, Professor Mulvenna has established himself as a leading voice in the field. As principal investigator on over 75 international research projects, he has contributed significantly to the advancement of the field through his publication of over 400 research papers and his active participation on numerous program committees.

His expertise has been recognised by the industry, as evidenced by his co-chairmanship of prestigious conferences such as the 32nd British Human-Computer Interaction conference in 2018, the 31st European Cognitive Ergonomics Conference (ECCE-2019), and the 5th IEEE International Conference on Internet of People (IoP-2019) in 2019.

As a senior member of both the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Association for Computing Machinery, as well as a chartered fellow of the British Computer Society, Professor Mulvenna's credentials speak to his impact and significance in the field of computer science.

Martin Bell, founder of The Martin Bell Partnership, is a highly respected and experienced independent consultant providing expert support for the healthcare, healthcare IT, and business sectors. With a wealth of experience at board level, including as a CIO in the NHS and a director of a leading UK clinical systems provider, Martin leverages his diverse background to deliver practical and effective consultancy services for his clients.

Working with organisations of all sizes and across both public and private sectors, Martin has a proven track record of delivering results for his clients. His diverse client base, ranging from established corporations to startups in the digital health and care space, speaks to his versatility and expertise.

Martin's exceptional strategic and communication skills, combined with his in-depth knowledge of healthcare IT and the NHS, provide unique insight and perspective for his clients. He is committed to helping organisations achieve their goals and has worked with over 200 clients on a range of engagements, from one-off projects to ongoing monthly partnerships.

With experience spanning a variety of sectors, including software, construction, retail, and defence, Martin is equipped to handle a wide range of challenges and deliver tangible results.
