Partnership with mdeducational foundation
Pneuma Healthcare are working in partnership with mdeducational foundation, a charity prioritising student wellbeing by providing fully funded Wellbeing Leads in schools for post-16 years across the UK and Ireland. mdeducational foundation is putting student wellbeing at the forefront of education, providing much needed support for their wellbeing needs through education and beyond.
There are significant challenges facing the education and wellbeing sectors in the UK, with rates of a probable mental disorder in young people aged 17 to 19 years rising to 1 in 4 in 2022 (NHS Digital, 2022). Now more than ever, intervention is needed. By putting student wellbeing at the forefront of education, mdeducational foundation are providing much-needed support for their wellbeing needs through education and beyond.
With a clear lack of research in this area and support for students aged between 16-18, we see further research and education as crucial areas for improvement when it comes to supporting adolescents dealing with wellbeing challenges. Pneuma Healthcare in collaboration with Ulster University and mdeducational foundation are developing research driven mechanisms to shed light on well-being strategies and outcomes for developing robust, dynamic and scientific data capture, interventions and peer reviewed research. This collaborative partnership brings pioneering innovations in well-being to post-16 school settings
